Fun Day with Animals at St Bert’s
Featuring animals from Meerkats and More!
Day Two of the Big Local Big 2 Weeks welcomes various animals and activities to St Bert’s church grounds for a Fun Day which includes Magic Shows, Circus skills, Arts & Crafts, Games and a variety of animals for you to see, such as those fun roaming Meerkats.
There is something for everyone over the two week period, with at least one activity per day hosted within Windmill Hill.
The BIG 2 WEEKS of events are organised by the Big Local. The Windmill Hill Big Local are a locally based partnership led by residents from the estate. The aim of the group is to make a lasting positive difference to the community, by bringing together all the local talent, ambitions, skills and energy from individuals, groups and organisations who want to make Windmill Hill an even better place to live.

Windmill Hill’s 40th Birthday Film @ Norton Priory
from 1pm to 3pm
In case you weren’t aware, Windmill Hill is 40 years old this year! To commemorate the occasion, Phil Thornton from CHI has produced a short film with local residents about their experiences of living ‘on the hill’ which will be launched at Norton Priory Museum – Foyle Room.

CHI is a locally based community focused organisation that aims to improve the health outcomes of residents on Windmill Hill. By delivering a programme of creative and life-skills activities at Priory View Community House, CHI aim to nurture the talent of individuals living on the estate.

Friday Funday Festival (All Ages)
10th of August 12pm to 3pm
The Friday Funday Festival is an annual event held on Windmill Hill school field. This year we have a host of activities, including Minigolf (New), Gladiator Duelling (New), Professional Freestyle Footballers, Birds Of Prey, Futsal, Face Painting, Magic Tricks, Dog Show, Kids Archery, Cake Making and More!
There will be refreshments available and music playing at the ‘Triple F’, so come along, enjoy the festival of activities and hopefully the sun too!
